Carnation Corals

Dendronepthya are one of the most beautiful soft corals in the reef keeping hobby. Unfortunately, they are likely the most difficult coral to keep in captivity. In addition to being sensitive to changes in water chemistry and temperature, they are a non-photosynthetic coral that requires constant feeding of phytoplankton to survive. For these reasons we do not recommend the purchase of Carnation corals for all but the most experienced reef aquarists with a system designed specifically for these beautiful creatures.
